Another interesting vehicle I came across at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.

This example was built in 1956... though they started being built in 1953 .

It was probably the first AWD/4wd Porsche... built for the German army as a light all-terrain vehicle.

It has a rear-mounted 1582cc H4 engine good for 50HP and a 4 speed manual transmission.

The pictures aren’t the greatest as this one was stuck in a corner and I had to stretch my arm to get the angles I got.

I didn’t see/read  anything that indicated it was amphibious.

They made 4wd Beetles in WWII, do those count as a Porsche?

Nah... those would have been under the “KDF Wagen” name.... not under the Porsche brand
